D Bradley Ltd - came about a bit by accident.
It was set up, and is owned by myself, Dave Bradley. I am a professional DJ who one
year back in the early 90's got a laptop as a birthday present. My sister was
responsible for the present and therefore for everything I have learnt on
computers ever since. As the years progressed I taught myself more and more, to
the point of buying my first domain name 'doubledecks.co.uk'. There was no way I
could afford to pay someone to build me a web-site, so I tried it myself,
clumsily at first but got better with the more I learnt. Going through
incarnation after incarnation, homing my skills as I went, all the while
teaching myself as I went. Creating and adapting scripts or code to make things
happen here or do things there. Eventually others began to comment on how good
they were, and started to ask if I could do a bit of work on their sites. As my knowledge grew so did my collection of domain names and the list of
sites that I had worked on or designed. All this time I worked for nothing, to
gain valuable experience and a greater knowledge of what a good web-site should
look like, and most of all how it should be constructed in order for it to work
to its full potential.
D Bradley Ltd offers a web design and hosting management
service, we do not host any web-sites that we work on our own servers, but use
the hosting services of a larger IT company. They are in a better position to
offer really good high capacity back-up systems. We however can and do arrange
and manage everything for you, everything you need for the successful hosting of
your site. Our target customer tends to be people that are dipping their toe
into the internet water, so to speak. People who aren't necessarily computer
literate but who nether the less would like to use and receive the benefits that
having a web-site can offer. Giving them a service that not cluttered or
complicated with technical or baffling terms or language. We simply take your
ideas and products and build and set up you site for you.
